When it comes to making healthy choices, we believe that prioritizing your wellness doesn’t have to come at the expense of flavour. We’re here to share some of the most nutritionally dense ingredients from our menu that will provide the fuel you need. Some of these may surprise you!
Chile Lime Fish
A light but satisfying option, our chile lime fish is made with tilapia dusted with rice flour and spices. Coming in at 21g of protein per serving, this is a great option that won’t weigh you down.
These little guys provide a lot for us! Black beans contain potassium, calcium and magnesium which are not only great at lowering blood pressure naturally, but contribute to maintaining bone structure. Their high fiber content helps create the satiating feeling, and supports healthy digestion. They are also naturally low in fat, making them an awesome protein choice!
This creamy topping is popular for a reason! While full of flavour, the avocados in guac are also high in monounsaturated fats – the good kind of fat – which is known to protect your heart and lower your blood pressure. Similar to black beans, they also contain potassium and fibre, as well as folate.
Chipotle Tomato Salsa & Salsa Roja
While your taste buds will thank you for going for some salsa, your body will appreciate it too. We roast fresh tomatoes in-house to make our Chipotle Tomato Salsa and Salsa Roja. Roasting tomatoes brings out the lycopene, a powerful antioxidant. Lycopene, like other antioxidants, can help with disease prevention and protection.
If you’re a fan of spice, there’s an additional benefit for you: the capsaicin found in hot peppers can increase your metabolism, creating a similar reaction in your body as exercising.
