Your health and well-being continues to be Quesada’s top priority

These last few months have been quite a challenge for everyone in the Canadian restaurant industry. I am particularly sorry to see the impact that the COVID-19 crisis has have had on some fellow restaurateurs. I realize how privileged we are to still be serving you today.

Quesada continues to take the health and safety of its guests, employees and partners seriously. As the founder & CEO of Quesada, I’d like to personally take a moment to let you know what we have been doing (and will continue to do) to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

We are still upholding more stringent measures in all our restaurants across Canada which include:

  • Extensive and regular sanitization of guest areas, service line and kitchen
  • Mandatory facial masks for all our staff and for our guests where local authorities mandate that masks be worn in indoor public spaces
  • Rigorous hand-washing practices
  • Ensure physical distancing in guest areas
  • Promote pre-ordering through the Quesada app and encourage take-out/delivery
  • Limited seating or closure of dining rooms in our locations

We would also like to remind our valued guests, employees and partners – and all Canadians – to please continue to follow the instructions of both the Government of Canada and your local public health unit in regards to COVID-19.

As of September 2019, Quesada Burritos & Tacos is the first Canadian restaurant chain to join ‘1% for the Planet’, a growing global movement and non-profit organization focused on environmental change in Canada, and around the world. We commit to donating one per cent of annual sales of our Beyond Meat® Burrito – now officially a permanent menu item – to support approved environmental non-profit partners focused on issues such as sustainable food systems and climate change.

We’re excited to welcome Quesada to our growing, global movement,” says Kate Williams, CEO of 1% for the Planet. “Currently, only 3 per cent of total philanthropy goes to the environment. The planet needs bigger support than this, and Quesada is among corporate leaders doing their valuable part to increase giving and support on issues that matter to consumers and our planet.
